This year was a very busy Halloween!! Scott and I really enjoy handing out candy and our neighborhood is great for that!! Last year we saw over 250 kids. Well this year no candy handing out for us. Max was invited to 3 different Halloween party's and I needed to go to Columbia to see my dad on Halloween.
Party number one was on the 30th at Aunt Jackies. She has a big bonfire, hot dog roast, smores, and games. We had a blast! I was a little worried about Max being outside the whole night because it was quite cold so I put him in his bat costume. This costume had a hood and was made of fleece so it was nice and warm. Max stayed warm the whole night and after staring at the fire for a long time(not sure if thats a good thing) he went to sleep and slept through all the activities. We played a few fun games, one of them was we had to wear whatever was in our sealed bag. I got a devil horn head band(insert joke here) and Scott got a pumpkin mask. The best though was Jacob and Paul they got Halloween panties!! The rule was you have to wear what you get so.....
Halloween morning I got Max dressed in his pumpkin costume and we headed to Columbia. Our first stop was the ACC where I used to work. Max was wonderful as always and has them all wrapped around his fingers! Next stop was at my friend Erin's house. We had a nice little visit! Last but not least we stopped by my dad's house. Max trick or treated and got a box of diapers!! I have a few pictures of Max in his pumpkin costume, I didn't get any good ones because he pooped in costume before I could get them.
Once we got home we got Scott and headed to party number 2. This was at the Buchannan's. She had a great set up for the kids! when Max is a little older he can play the games with the rest of the kids. There was probably about 10-15 kids there. We had some nummy snacks. Max was a little fussy and finally fell asleep and slept through most of the party. He was in his giraffe costume. Madison Claire was there and was a owl! I loved this costume!
Party number 3 was at the Graves site! Gina and Jerry have a great party every year. Great food, fun games for the kids, trick or treating in their neighborhood, and of course the best people! Max actually stayed awake for the majority of this party. There were a ton of people and kids there. Max's friends Mason and McKenna were there(they are twins and a month older then him). Madison Claire had a costume change. Little Avery was super girl! Scott and I had a really good time!

Halloween Party
For the last 5 years Scott and I have thrown a themed Halloween party. Themes of years past- Redneck, 80's, music stars, and Vegas. This year we had requests not to have a theme but everyone had to dress up. Scott found some of his cloths from the 90's and I was Monday(dressed in my scrubs, messed up my hair, put dark circles under my eyes, carried a coffee cup, and looked a total mess!!). We also had some of the cast from the Jersey Shore(J-wow, Pauly D, Ronnie, and Snookie). Billy Mayes also came back from the dead with his(her) bottle of Oxy-Contin(not clean). We had a good time!
Scott and I decided after much thought that it would be best if Max wasn't there so he went and stayed the night with Aunt Jackie. This was his first night away from home. Scott and I were a bit nervous, even though we know Jackie is wonderful! She said he did great, however when Max woke at 1:30 to eat he stayed up till 4:30. She didn't mind and said they had fun playing. Me on the other hand would have put him in his car seat and drove till he fell asleep!

Fall Fun Friday
I had Friday off so I decided that Max and I would have fall themed day. Now there isn't a lot he can do being only 2 1/2 mo old but we made the most of it! We started the day off by going to Uncle Pauls produce stand and playing with the pumpkins(pumpkin patch next year), then off to Neen's to play in a pile of leaves, and finally home to carve his pumpkin! We had a lot of fun and I think I am going to make this a yearly event! We ended the day by going to the last home football game. It was a bit chilly but Max was nice and warm!

Shot time!!
This week was my first official full time week back to work. It was nice to be out of the house 4 days but I really did miss Max, especially on Sat when Scott and him were hanging out. I missed being home with my guys :)
Max had a pretty eventful week. Wed while at Mrs. Cathys he decided to act crazy and make her earn her money. His stomach must have been upset because he cried and screamed all day and left her 9 dirty diapers. When I got home that night he was still a little grumpy but did fine that night. Thursday we had Aunt Jackie watch Max because Mrs. Cathy was unable to and boy oh boy did they have fun. I meant to get a few pictures from her. Aunt Jackie and Max went up to her work(TOA) to show him off and then Neen and Uncle Jack came over and played with him. I was told they had a blast! Even Uncle Paul came in from the produce stand, Max thought he was super funny and made all kinds of noises at him. Thanks again Jackie for watching Max!!
Friday was Max's 2 month appointment with Dr. Bigham. He was happy until I got him out of his car seat and started to undress him. He then cried until I put him back in his car seat and we started to walk out of the exam room. Dr. Bigham said he looks great but he does have a small adhesion(skin stuck/regrown) where his circumcision is. He said he will see how it looks at his 4mo appointment and if needed we will go see a urologist to get it fixed. I am really hoping it looks better, he has already been through enough with his penis :) We are also starting Max on reflux medicine. He has been spiting up and has been really fussy when eating and the Dr thinks it is reflux that is sitting in the back of this throat and irritating him. we will try it for 2 weeks to see if it helps, if so we keep him on it, if not we stop it. He has only been on the medicine for 2 days and he hasn't spit up once, fingers crossed. Developmentally Max is doing great. I had to fill out a check list. The only one I couldn't cross off was pushing himself up on his forearms while on his tummy. Max does not like tummy time, he just starts crying, however he does lift his head up and can move it side to side so the Dr wasn't worried. He said the big milestone we look for at 4 months is rolling over or almost rolling over. Max weighed 11 pounds and is now 22 1/2 inches. He has gained 4lb and 8oz and has grown 3 inches from out 1st visit with Dr. B. That puts him at the 25th percentile for height and weight(right on track) and his head was 35th percentile(also good). Max did get 3 shots and a oral vaccine. He was crying the whole time but did good with the shots. He did let out a louder scream after the shots were given(the immunizations can sting). I premedicated him with tylenol and gave it to him for the next 24hours. He did great at home. Not fussy and no fever. We even went out to the Eagleville park to bring Scott lunch(his school had Eagle strut and the kids got to play in the park most of the day). Max slept the whole time, no swing time for him :(
Max has also become quite the wiggle worm. We have stopped using the sleep positioner because he wiggles down and his head stayes between the side supports. Noe every night he turns 90 degree's as he sleeps. I lay him is his bed vertically and when I get up to feed him he is laying horizontally.
Today(Sunday) we went to Eagleville to go to Church. We met Aunt Jackie and Jacob and then went to Neen's for lunch....Yummy! Scott and Max are currently at the Haley's working of stuff for the Eagleville FFA alumni trivia night. I'm trying to get Max to take notes so he can come home and tell me what the categories will be...I'll let you know if it works :)

Beach Babe!
This past week was Scott's fall break and we headed down to Panama City beach in Florida for a week of sun and fun! Last year we went with a few friends and their children and had a great time so we all agreed to come back this year. Although this year we had a child with us too! I was a little nervous about Max and the beach, mainly because of the 8 hour drive and making sure he stayed out of the sun. He did great! The drive down he only got fussy about 20 min away from the condo. As for feeding him in the car I pumped and fed him in the carseat. When he was almost done I had Scott stop and then we got Max out and burped him, changed his diaper and played for a few minutes before we strapped him back in. Max did really good on the beach. The first day he wouldn't let us put him down but following days he slept almost the whole time he was down on the beach, and we could set him down :) Our condo was right next to Pier Park(huge shopping and resturant area) so we walked down there everyday. We had 2 days where the weather was a little chilly, expecially in the shade so Max didn't make it down to the beach. I did get him in the pool one day......he screamed bloody murder the whole time! I guess the water was too cold for him :) Scott's sister Ashley now lives in Freeport(25 min from PCB and Destin) so she was able to come by and hang out with us almost everyday. We even went and saw her new apartment.
All together the week was wonderful! A great time was had by all!
